Investment
When it comes to planning your a wedding, a great amount of time and money is invested.
When you are ready to select your entertainment there’s a few things you should know.

How much money should you pay for a Disc Jockey?

A DJ is responsible for many things including making sure your wedding is engaging, fun, and memorable for you and your guests. The entertainment you choose will make the difference between your guests leaving early or creating lasting memories until the end of the night. No matter what else happens, a great experienced professional DJ can help you get a maximum return on your investment of your celebration.

When searching for a wedding DJ , you will notice a large disparity in pricing.
The price you pay for entertainment is a direct reflection of the quality you will receive, which is a direct reflection of the success of your event.

Cheap entertainment is not good and good entertainment is not cheap. A Disc Jockey will charge what they believe they’re worth.
If a DJ could charge more for their services they would?
A DJ can make it a great celebration that everyone will remember, or a reception you would soon like to forget.

Consider that if you are paying an average to below average price for your Disc Jockey, you are taking a chance on a DJ who is most likely not a truly skilled professional and may very well sell your reception to an even less qualified Disc Jockey that you may meet for the very first time at your reception or special event.
Ask yourself again, on this important day;
Do you really want an average, or even a below average wedding reception, and have your guests thinking the same thing?

Why don’t you have your pricing packages posted on your website?

Every wedding or event is different and unique in their own way. I like to find out what your needs and wants are first, then custom craft a package to give you just the right service
you want.
I’m not your typical average “run-of-the-mill” DJ, that does the same worn out routine for every wedding.
Therefore I do not have cookie-cutter prices on my website.
A DJ that is truly professional will probably not post his prices on his website. DJ’s that post pricing or gives you a price first, to me, that means they care more about your money then the details of your wedding.
Find out what makes a DJ worth his fee.

Why is PME Disc Jockey Service the best value for my money?

No Overhead…
PME is just Mark, there are no employees that work for me, and never will.
Your investment will not go to other people that won’t even be at your event.

No Monthly Rent Payment…
Since it’s just me, there’s no reason to have an outside office. Many of the multi-system DJ services have outside offices that can be very costly.

No Advertising Costs…
90% of my business comes from word-of-mouth referrals. The bigger companies
need to spend thousands of dollars per year on advertising to keep all of their Disc Jockey’s booked all year long. Guess who pays the advertising costs, rent for the fancy offices, and the paychecks for owners & managers who won’t even be at your event?

Outside of business cards, I spend little to no money on advertising.
You will not find PME DJ Service at bridal shows or ads in bridal magazines.
My priced is based only by my experience, talent and expertise.

Your wedding or event is to important to just look for the lowest price.
The bottom line is the best value for your money.

Low Priced DJ’s Are Ripping You Off

Low priced Disc Jockey’s are ripping you off. A wedding DJ I know called to tell me that he lost business to another DJ that charges less then half his price, and that is DJ also told this couple that he basically does the same thing he does. Really?

I have heard of this DJ business before, I’ve seen their paid ads everywhere. It’s a husband & wife team that spends a great sum of money on advertising. So how can they make a livable wage charging clients much less an the average rate? It’s simple, one, they also do videography, second, because of all the commercial ads, and low prices they are able to book more weddings per week based on low price.

Sounds like a great deal for the client, or is it really?

The cheaper DJ is the better value, or is it? Sounds good, so what’s the problem?
Paying less is always better, only if your getting the same value for you’re your
money. Do you really love a low price? or do you love getting great value for
the price?

The problem is, this DJ is not pricing his service enough, and therefore he has to book
more weddings to stay in business and on top of that has to also run a second business
in videography to stay afloat. This means this DJ cannot give his clients the full time
attention and quality service they deserve for their wedding. This is a disservice to their
clients and to themselves.

These DJ’s are no better than part-time or hobbyist DJ’s because they simply cannot or
do not have the time to…

A. meet with their clients at their convenience.
B. properly plan their clients wedding and custom craft each wedding to fit their clients
style. This means they more then likely will perform the same worn-out routine for
every wedding. I call this cookie-cutter weddings, they play the same songs, do the
performance etc.. for every wedding.
C. receive the proper education & training they need to be professional because of the
lack of time & money. Every profession needs proper education & training, most
mobile DJ’s don’t think they need it. This is more than connecting wires & pressing play.
D. upgrade or even maintain old audio equipment because of the lack of money. This
means that there is the possibility of bring shoddy equipment or equipment failure at
the next event.

Over the years I’ve seen these DJ’s price themselves right out of the business, because
they are afraid to raise their rates. They don’t understand that in the long run, it’s the
quality of service that will ultimately keep you in business for a long time, even through
a recession. What clients really want is value and quality for their money.

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten”
