Hiring The Right Disc Jockey

Hiring The Right  Disc Jockey

The overall success of your wedding reception depends on
hiring the right DJ entertainer. Have you attended a wedding
reception recently? What do you remember the most?
Was it the chicken you had for dinner?
Did the flowers make the reception memorable and successful?
When was the last time you attended a wedding when the cake
made the reception a big success? I would guess never.

Hiring the right entertainment is the key to a successful wedding or event.

The problem is,  every day couples hire entertainers that they should not
be hiring. Hire  the wrong DJ and your wedding reception will be a bust.
Most all couples try to save money and make the same mistake by hiring
the cheapest DJ. A cheap DJ will cost you money.  Cheap entertainment
can cost you the entire budget of your wedding as well as any good
memories. Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that can
not be redone. The memories of your wedding will last a lifetime.

If you expect your guests to stay and have a great time, or you expect the
your photos to turn out lively and cheerful.  Then you must expect to pay
more for your entertainment if you want a successful wedding.

Cheap entertainment is not good, and good entertainment is not cheap.

Wedding Day Things to Remember List

You (The Bride) have done many things before your wedding day.
You shouldn’t have to work the day of your wedding, however
there are some things to remember. I suggest delegating your
bridal party members for some of the responsibilities.

*Bring the rings and marriage license. (Best Man)
*Make sure the toss garter is on the Brides leg before the reception.

Yet another article about the scourge of the iPod? Well, yes, but this is one to share with grooms who are being tempted by DIY…

Getting married, mister? Congratulations!
Are you handling the details with your fiancée? Great.
Your job is to arrange the music? Brilliant.
You are doing it yourself? How so?
Your iPod! You’re kidding, right?
How much are you spending on your wedding?
Oh, it’s a control issue? You want your favorites played?
Have you really thought this through? Didn’t think so.

Although an iPod is a very efficient personal music system, there are
several problems that arise when depending on your iPod to handle your
wedding reception. Your risk vs. reward is not as clear cut as you might
think. So, here comes the “tough love.” I’ve been a mobile disc jockey
since 1979. I have some frank advice for you, since you get only one
chance to handle this wedding music issue…
